What We Do
- We deliver a daily drop-in service. If we cannot directly support someone we signpost to other organisations for further support.
- We promote a range of campaigns. We organise International Women’s Day events, community gatherings and Anti Racism campaigns, as well as others that affect the everyday lives of Drumchapel residents.
- We work in partnership with other local third sector organisations that benefit the people of Drumchapel.
- We support local groups and organisations that work in the community.
- We participate in a wide range of networks relevant to our work.
- We facilitate the Breakfast & a Blether Network.
- We promote cultural events to make visible the rich diversity of different cultures present in the area.
- We engage with local schools to promote stronger ties between them and the local community.
- We contribute towards building a more democratic and participatory society based on the values of care, solidarity and social justice
About Us
The about tab tells the story of our journey, where we came from, who we are today and what we hope for the future.
We support vulnerable individuals and families who live and work in Drumchapel, including people living in poverty, people with disabilities, people tackling addiction and homelessness, ethnic minority communities, women, refugees and asylum seekers.
Our community development work contributes towards local people developing a critical understand of their place within a global context. Consequently, themes of climate justice, social displacement and poverty become central to our work. Building community is key to creating an alternative narrative and practice.
We recognise that other groups may emerge in the process of engaging with the community through our planned activities.
